Pickup from your hotel in Jaipur in the morning at 7.30 Am and drive on to Shekhawati region. This is a semi desert region in north Rajasthan and is situated entirely within the triangle formed by Delhi-Bikaner-Jaipur. Shekhawati represents a region and not just a town or fort. It derived its name from its ruler Rao Shekha. Shekhawati means the garden of Shekha. You shall be visiting small villages of this said Shekhawati Region likes of Mandawa, Jhunjunu, Dundlod, Nawalgarh. Shekhawati is an open art Gallery. Most of the buildings of the Shekhawati region were constructed in between the 18th century and the early 20th century. During the British occupation, traders adapted this style for their buildings. The havelis are noted for their frescos depicting mythological and historical themes. The frescos include images of gods, goddesses, animals, and the life of the lords Rama and Krishna, profusely painted on the havelis in this region. There are also Baoris and Chattris to Discover.
